css=&#8221;&#8221;]Bei der Behandlung von Sonderabfall geht es Im Kern um die sichere Inertisierung (Zerst\u00f6rung) der im Sonderabfall enthaltenen Gefahrstoffe, dar\u00fcber hinaus spielen aber auch zunehmend Themen wie Kreislaufwirtschaft und Energier\u00fcckgewinnung eine wichtige Rolle. Bei der Verbrennung von Sonderabf\u00e4llen ist im Vergleich zu Siedlungsabf\u00e4llen eine h\u00f6here Temperatur sicherzustellen: bei Siedlungsabfall m\u00fcssen 850 \u00b0C erreicht werden, bei Sonderabfall 1.100 \u00b0C. Als Technik f\u00fcr die Verbrennung wird mit wenigen Ausnahmen das System \u201eDrehrohr mit Nachbrennkammer\u201c eingesetzt, das sich in mehr als f\u00fcnfzig Jahren Betriebserfahrung durchgesetzt und in der Praxis bew\u00e4hrt hat. Diese Drehrohre haben eine L\u00e4nge\u00a0von bis zu 15 Metern, einen Au\u00dfendurchmesser von bis zu 5,5 Metern und sind mit ihrer feuerfesten Auskleidung speziell f\u00fcr hohe Temperaturen konstruiert. Die dem Drehrohr nachgeschaltete\u00a0Nachbrennkammer \u00fcbernimmt die Aufgabe, die Abgase des Drehrohrofens v\u00f6llig auszubrennen (Restorganika, mitgerissene Feststoffpartikel, CO-Str\u00e4hnen) und die gesetzlich geforderten zwei\u00a0Sekunden Verweilzeit bei 1.100 \u00b0C sicherzustellen.
